    After bowling out Australia for 256 on the first day. Brian Lara walked into bat at 5 for 2. West Indies needed a special effort from him to win this test match to level series 1-1. West Indies kept losing wickets at one end and were tattered at 34 for 4 until Lara found a resilient partner in Jimmy Adams who scored 94 and recorded a partnership of 322 for the 5th wicket.
